Our Values

Kettering Allotments Society exists to promote allotment gardening and manage allotment sites in Kettering.

Our constitution states the objects of the Society are

5.1.1 Manage Kettering allotment site(s)  

5.1.2 Promote allotment gardening as a community resource; encouraging participation and membership. 

5.1.3 By various means further the interests of members with regard to the proper cultivation, good management and safe enjoyment of the allotments. 

Our core values are:

• Respect the person and the law

• tolerate different practices

• minimise harm and risk (to individuals and environment)

• achieve a reasonable balance between competing or conflicting preferences

• allow every allotment plot to be cultivated and enjoyed now and in the future
